How to go to the refuge "La yourte des Ayes" ?

On foot
The yurt refuge is located along the GR 5-GTA (Grande Traversée des Alpes) route, At 2000 m of altitude, under the col des Ayes between Briançon and Brunissard, on the territory of the municipality of Villard Saint Pancrace. It is visible from the trail.
From the north (Briançon - Villard Saint Pancrace), it is located about 2h30 walk from Villard Saint Pancrace, 3/4 of an hour after the village of Les Ayes.
Coming from the south (from Brunissard - Queyras), it is located at one hour of descent of the col des Ayes.

By road
From Villard Saint Pancrace, follow the direction "Village des Ayes", about 7 km of unpaved road. From the village of Les Ayes, it remains 3/4 of an hour of walk (1/2 hour for the more sporting) Following the red and white beacons of the GR5, towards the Col des Ayes.
By mountain bike
(technical downhill)
Follow the itinerary above until the village of Ayes. From there, continue along the road to the place called Plan-Peyron, then turn left onto the trail leading to the chalets "Vers le col". By 2090 m, before the track crosses the torrent of the Ayes, take the GR5 to the descent on about 700 m. Technical downhill.
